Information on Olympiad by subject

On November 22, 2018, the Department of Criminal Justice held the Olympiad by subject on a general part of the Criminal Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Olympiad organizers aimed to determine a level of theoretical knowledge of students, as well as a degree of proficiency in the practical application of the Criminal law provisions. The objectives of the Olympiad were set as increasing an interest of students of students studies in Qazaq (Qazaq groups) to the Criminal law and the Team spirit formation. For participation in the Olympiad, the best students of Qazaq groups of the KAZGUU Law School studying the “Criminal Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan (General part)” discipline in the current semester were selected. A performance of six teams was evaluated by the jury consisting of experts from KAZGUU and the Eurasian National University named after L. Gumilev. The Olympiad consisted of four rounds: self-presentation of teams; Captain Competition (Kahoot program test solution); teamwork with the text of the Criminal law; command decision of case with the “Moot court” elements.
In the overall a winner of the Olympiad became the “Quqyq qorgaishylar” (Law advocates) team represented by: Sankynbai Kaysar (captain), Ismail Nurdulet, Baglan Alimbetov, Seyilbek Nurdulet, Dilshat Yergazinova. The winning team was awarded a diploma and a cash prize. All participants of the Olympiad received certificates.
