Kazakh and Russian experts discuss issues of law and criminology

In Astana, KAZGUU University holds a joint meeting of the Educational and Methodological Association of Law specialties of higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and sections of Criminal Law and Criminology, Educational and Methodological Association of Legal Education of higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation.

The Chairman of the Constitutional Council of Kazakhstan Igor Rogov, Deputy Attorney General J. Merkel, and Chairman of the Judicial Collegiums for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Rahmetulin attend the meeting.

The Russian side is represented by the Chairman of the Section of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Educational and Methodological Association of Legal Education in universities of Russia Vladimir Komissarov, the member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Yuri Pudovochkin and other delegates.

In a joint meeting I. Merkel informed about the practice of simultaneous reforming of the criminal law cycle.

The two sides also plan to discuss the Criminal, Criminal Procedure and the Penal Execution Code issues; the role of the judicial practice in law enforcement, criminal situation and criminological legislation in Kazakhstan.
