Where do PhD students do their internships?
Foreign internship of PhD students is planned for their 2nd and 3rd year of study, the PhD students and their supervisors discuss where it is better to undertake a foreign internship on the topic of a PhD thesis. After the PhD student has chosen a foreign university, the International Office is involved in the negotiation process. The International Office helps with the invitation of a PhD student for an internship. After receiving the invitation, the PhD student writes an application to the Director of the KAZGUU Law School and makes an internship plan together with the supervisor. The Director of the KAZGUU Law School sends all documents to the Science Committee of the KAZGUU Law School for consideration. After that, the Committee calls the PhD student to a meeting, where the PhD student justifies the need for an internship for research. After approval of the internship by the Committee, the amount for the trip is allocated to the PhD student (if the PhD student is studying on a state scholarship if, on a fee basis, a trip is paid for by the PhD student).
