The undergraduate programme 5В030100 in Jurisprudence is based on international educational standards, and also specific features of Kazakhstan.
When developing this programme, we took into account the State Mandatory Educational Standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the requirements of employers.
The curriculum of the undergraduate degree programme 5B030100 Jurisprudence consists of 129 credits of theoretical training, of which 30% are compulsory disciplines, and 70% are electives.
The purpose of the degree programme 5B030100 in Jurisprudence is to train highly qualified specialists with a high level of legal culture and awareness, fundamental knowledge and professional competencies in the development and implementation of legal regulations, ensuring law and order, legal education.
Accreditation
The programme is accredited by FIBAA from September 30, 2016 to September 30, 2021.
It is also accredited by the Kazakhstan Independent Quality Assurance Agency in Education (IQAA) from 2016 to 2021.

The undergraduate degree programme 5В030300 in Law Enforcement is offered at KAZGUU University under the state licence of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan from 2004 (license No. 15004934 (001) of 13 March 2015).
The programme is aimed to train highly qualified specialists with a high level of legal culture and awareness, fundamental knowledge and professional competencies in the development and implementation of legal regulations, ensuring law and order, legal education.
The programme consists of 240 ECTS (146 credits), which includes theoretical disciplines, professional internship, and final attestation.
The objectives are defined based on the Dublin Descriptors of the First Level (undergraduate), the National Framework of Qualifications and Strategy of KAZGUU University and include a list of competencies that take into account the requirements of local employers.

1) demonstrate knowledge and understanding of general educational and basic legal disciplines;
2) to understand the essence of law as a regulator of social relations, to know the functions of law, the structure and elements of the legal system and to know the laws of the origin of the state, the forms and methods of the exercise of the functions of the modern state, the rules of functioning of its institutions and public offices
3) to know national and international acts aimed at protecting and ensuring human rights;
4) to have a clear understanding of the principles of the organization and activities of law enforcement agencies and understand their importance for ensuring public safety and the rule of law;
5) to know the types of legal responsibility, their features, the grounds for applying measures of state coercion to the persons who have committed offenses;
6) to understand the criminal procedure, administrative procedure, civil law and disciplinary procedures;
7) demonstrate academic writing skills, be able to distinguish between writing styles, understand the difference between academic and legal writing styles of their conclusions, to properly prepare legal documents properly, to give qualified oral advice (in Kazakh, Russian and English);
8) to be able to apply the rules of substantive and procedural law to specific life cases, legally correct to qualify facts and circumstances, to demonstrate the possession of legal argumentation and legal analysis techniques, building an algorithm for solving cases and situational problems;
9) to have skills to identify, prevent, disclose and investigate criminal and other offenses, be able to identify, give a legal assessment of corrupt behavior;
10) to know methods of preventing offenses, identifying and eliminating the causes and conditions conducive to their perpetration;
11) to be aware of the legal, moral, social and economic consequences of their activities and the need to be responsible for them;
12) to know the social and psychological patterns of communication, to be open to the establishment of social and professional relationships;
13) think critically and act independently in solving practical and legal problems, be able to solve complex legal problems;
14) to know the basics of the programming language, the technique of effective communication and apply them in practice, clearly and accurately communicate with others, including those who do not know the;
15) to respect the right and the law, to be intolerant of corrupt behavior.

The bachelor’s program in the specialty “International Law” was developed in accordance with the state educational standards and the mission of the University. The goal of the program is the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of international public and private law that can become part of the elite of lawyers in Kazakhstan and meet modern challenges of the public.
